We’ve mentioned before how excited we are about our partnership with Jack Johnson, and the most exciting part of all was having the ability to attend his sold out concert at Koka Booth Ampitheatre last night! It was a beautiful evening, and we had a wonderful time engaging with the fans and enjoying the show.
We had a booth in the Village Green area along with six other NC nonprofits. (Search for the 5/21 concert date here to read more about them.) It was a great opportunity to tell people about C3 and spread the word about creative reuse! Plus, we were right next to the water, so it couldn’t have been nicer.
In addition to his generosity to environmental non-profits, Jack Johnson tries to reduce the carbon footprint of his tours as much as possible. His tour buses run mostly on bio-diesel, his merchandise is made from recycled materials and organic cotton, and his concerts feature water stations for your reusable water bottle!
We even got a quick visit from Jack Johnson himself! We thanked him in person for all that he’s doing for C3.
When it was time for Jack to go on, we made a quick run to the car to drop off our things, and then it was show time.
It was a great concert, and we were so very lucky to be there and be a part of it. Thanks to everyone who stopped by our table. Thanks to Jack and his crew for making us feel welcome. And thanks to Kramden for lending us some laptops to better engage with the fans.
The From Here to Now to You Tour may have come and gone, but it’s not too late to be a part of it. Between now and September, Jack Johnson is matching up to $2500 in donations and we’re not there yet! Click here to donate online, or stop by the store and see us.
